The motor sports lovers know very well the reputation, respect and the position Ferrari enjoys. In fact the Ferrari legend has not been built in a day. They have worked very hard on creating race winning cars year after year. Their record of success is very high particularly in the Formula One races. The team Ferrari builds new F1 cars every year but they are few in numbers, never reaching double digits. The Virtual Academy Simulator will be available for download beginning September 9 with the current F10 racer along with the Fiorano, Mugello and Nurburgring circuits included in the package for €15.It is expected that it will be based on a Flash application that will run on any platform. So you need not worry about additional hardware or software to enjoy the Ferrari Virtual Academy.

Abu Dhabi has asked and got special edition Rolls Royce Phantoms. Now it is the turn of UK to receive a special Drophead Coupe that celebrates Pebble Beach’s 60^th anniversary. Inspired by the Stillwater Cove on the Monterey Peninsula and as a tribute to it the new 60^th Anniversary Special Edition will have Stillwater Blue exterior paint. The soft top will be navy blue in color which will be lined with cashmere. The interior will be done with Crème Light leather.

The interiors will also have wood fittings outfitted in cross banded Santos Pallisander veneer and a silver pinstripe inlay. There is a long list of luxurious features. Handcrafted oiled teak decking would be found in the roof cover and luggage compartment. The teak extends over to the picnic deck that comes with a set of crystal flutes.

Torsten Muller Otvos, the CEO of Rolls Royce said on the occasion of the release the special edition model highlighted their capabilities in Goodwood. He complimented the designers and the artisans who came up with something appropriate for the occasion and something special one could cherish for ever. The car was unveiled at the event by Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös and Chief Designer Ian Cameron, and was sold within minutes.

Not long ago, when someone used the term, wifi, the first thing that sprouted in our heads was wireless Internet connectivity and wireless networking, that would greatly ease the process of communication. However, one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the United States, Ford Motors, has now taken the concept of the wifi to a whole new level, where the company is now employing the wireless technology into its factories, where wifi is practically being used to give the final touches to the cars coming off the assembly lines.

As per reports, Ford Motor is currently using wifi technology to upload customized phone and entertainment features into the Edge and Lincoln MKX crossover vehicles. In this process, the wireless system is being used to send in software and features into the vehicles and depending upon the region of delivery, separate features are being installed in these vehicles. However, many experts believe that this unique trend of car customization via wifi technology, could only be just the beginning as, it has been envisioned the customization option could evolve to the limits of power-seat preferences and gear transmission. The use of this innovative technology could span the rise of a new breed of buyers, who would prefer to have their cars pre-ordered with their own preferences, rather than bank upon the company to release its dealer models.

Lamborghini, a name that instills, luxury and thrill of speed has been for a long time in the business of churning out some of the coolest and meanest speed demons on four wheels. The most recent from the company being the incredibly gorgeous, Lamborghini Reventon. However, just like Ferrari, a Lamborghini isn’t everybody’s cup of tea and only the super rich have the luxury of getting behind the wheels of these super cars.

But, it seems that Lamborghini has finally understood the lust and craving of the common man for its sensational vehicles and the company has now given its official stamp to an all new licensed Lamborghini Reventon RC version, that has been designed and developed by De Agostini. This all new radio controlled vehicle is a 1:10 scale model of the actual Lamborghini Reventon and is powered by a two-stroke 3cc petrol engine and comes with a two speed transmission. This incredible scale working model of the Reventon features a four wheel drive system for added grip on the road and to ensure that, the vehicle keeps to the ground, the designers installed an independent suspension, hydraulic shocks, and disc brakes.

There has been no pricing information for the officially licensed Lamborghini Renventon RC car, but it would definitely be much inexpensive than $1.2 million of the actual car.

The Ross Lovegrove designed bike, LDN for Biomega is the ultimate bike for the urban setting. Another equally urband and smart bike is called NYC and has been designed by the Denmark based design house of Kibisi. The LDB frame has been made by carbon fiber, which automatically makes it much lighter than the bikes out there. Plus the hole in the frame reduces the weight even further and enables it to be hung from the wall as well.

The design of the body is in the wishbone style that gives it a certain unique yet stylish look. But apart from the aesthetics, this bike is custom made for the urban commuter. The other bike, NYC does not lag behind. This one has a carbon fiber belt drive instead of the traditional chain. By the way, most of the Biomega bikes do not have these chains.

NYC’s aluminium down tube makes it reliable and smart looking at the same time. This one will be available from Spring 2011 onwards in Aspen Pearl White, African Yellow, Aluminum Silver and Dragon Black. The LDN will be available in Aspen Pearl White, African Yellow and Raw Carbon. This one is however built on order.

Wallpaper has brought out two new ranges of limited edition bikes. The interesting part about these bikes is that they can be broken up into pieces, and packed in a customized bag. That means that you can actually take your bicycle anywhere you want! How cool is that! Specialists from all over the world were called to make these special bicycles. There were people who specialized in frame making, designing, painting, saddle making, leather carving etc.

The result is quite unsurprisingly amazing. The first model is the International bike that is the result of a collaboration with US-Japanese operation Kinfolk (frame design), Coat (paintjob), Brooks (leather saddles) and Nivaldo de Lima (the carry bag). There are two models of this International bike: a dark blue 54cm frame is available at £2,450 and the other one with light blue 58cm frame comes for £3,000. The cost does not include shipping. The City bike on the other hand is available for £1,255 plus shipping.

The City bike has been designed by Shiko Matsuda of Level and the paintjob has been done by Fuji Kogyo. The craftsmenship makes a huge difference in the quality of the product, and this one boats of being made by the best that is there. So must be quite the bike!

Jay Ohrberg, an Oceanside resident better known as Hollywood Jay is better known as a car designer, builder and collector. He has designed and created some of the most famous and amazing vehicles. In fact people started calling him Hollywood Jay because several of his unique creations have been featured in hit movies and TV shows over the years.

The vehicle that made him known all over the world was the 100 foot limousine he made that got him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the creator of the world’s longest car. This limo had a total of 26 wheels, a pool and hot tub, a putting green and a helipad, all unusual features for a car. Unfortunately the longest car was damaged a few years ago.

Well, Jay is in the news again as he has unveiled his plan to build an even longer limo. He has now revealed plans to turn a 55-foot Lincoln, used by Ron Paul in his 2008 presidential campaign, into the world’s longest limousine ever. Some of Jay’s out-of-the-world creations include vehicles in the shape of Elton John’s piano, the Eiffel Tower, a telephone and a 40-foot guitar. We will have to wait a bit for his longest limo and anticipate the unusual features it will have to give you the ultimate ride in the world.

Bulgaria is going to get the shiniest road in the world, as the divider in this road is going to get painted with Swarovski crystals!

This piece of news must have blown your mind, but like they say, one cannot put price to art and happiness. Swarovski crystals are known for their dazzling shine and exorbitant cost, but apparently the development authority of Bulgaria has no problems when it comes to enhancing the quality of roads and hence life! Until now the only road they have planned to paint is the one joining the coastal towns of Sozopol and Primorsko.

The road joining these coastal cities is full of steep curves and to negotiate these curves one has to be warned in well advance. The officials feel that the glitter of Swarovski infused paint will do the needful and help in avoiding accidents. The Staviiski Turn, which happens to be a deadly turn, will be festooned by larger crystals of Swarovski to make it noticeable from a safe distance. These crystals will not only add bling to the roads, but hopefully they will save a few lives too!
